Do I have to sign a contract with a Realtor?
You do not need to sign just to ask a Realtor about their services. Many agents do need a written agreement before touring a home with you. Before committing, understand the terms and decide whether you want to compare other professionals.

What am I agreeing to?
The contract, sometimes called a buyer representation agreement, may describe the services you will receive, how long it lasts, which homes or areas it covers, whether you agree to work only with that professional, and what you may owe.
Ask the professional to explain anything unclear, including fees and how to end the agreement or change professionals. Terms can vary and may be negotiated; the actual agreement you sign controls.
Compare before you commit
Tell De Gouveia what you need in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach. Wilson reviews your request personally, researches professionals, and may email you up to two appropriate options. Available options vary; you make the choice.
On the next page, tell us whether you are buying, selling or both, your location, and your email. You can use the optional notes to say you are comparing Realtors before signing.

Already signed?
Review your current agreement before making another commitment. De Gouveia can help you explore professional options, but cannot interpret your contract or determine whether you can end it.
